Overwatch 2 Support Character Tier List

Support characters in Overwatch 2 are the lifeblood of your team. If they can keep their teammates alive, you are set up much better to come away with a victory. Now that each Support can heal themselves over time, their survivability just became much easier, and their elimination is much more important for teams to focus on. Here is a tier list of all the current Overwatch 2 Support heroes and where we think they should go.

Lucio’s speed boost and healing area effects will be hard to beat in any team composition. With fewer people on the field, it is easier to help all your teammates, and with the healing passive, he can be very difficult to bring down as he wall rides around. He’s not a must-pick, but he can be important to any team especially with his Sound Barrier.

Kiriko has one of the best Ultimates in the game with how much it speeds up your team’s attacks and reloads, making them pretty lethal in about any situation. Outside of the Ultimate, she has great movement and can teleport to teammates through walls, giving her great escape potential when she is overwhelmed and one of the fastest ways to reach allies in danger. If you can time her Protection Suzu ability properly, she can also completely negate damage incoming on teammates from massive attacks like D.Va and Junkrat’s Ultimates.

Mercy’s movement ability is ridiculous right now, making her one of the hardest Supports to take down if she has lanes to escape to. Because of this, she can constantly jump around and pocket her teammates and bring back fallen ones.

Zenyatta is still unequivocally the easiest Support to take down, which will likely always be the case, but his orbs allowing for long-range healing and extra damage on key opponents is always a massive boon for anyone who is able to stay in the fight. With Roadhog and Orisa being strong right now, he is a great choice for limiting those Tanks.

If you know how to manage Moira’s resources properly, she is a viable choice in most team compositions. However, her utilization does have a ceiling since you need to put at least some focus into damaging enemies to keep her pool filled. It can leave you empty in important situations if you can’t find a good balance between damage and healing.

Ana has some of the most impactful abilities for any hero in Overwatch 2, but her limited movement can leave her an easy prey for flankers that she can’t hit with her Sleep Dart. Also, Kiriko can nullify almost everything that makes Ana useful if timed right.

Baptiste’s Immortality Field will always have its defenders, but it is too easy to take off the field, and the cooldown is significant. We also believe he has the worst Ultimate in the game (unless properly lined up with Kiriko’s). If your team is sticking together, though, his healing can keep you alive when needed.

A lot of people undervalue Brigitte right now because her significant Shield Bash stun was removed. While that would easily rocket her up the list, she’s not a terrible pick at the moment. She can survive a brawl a lot easier than other Supports, but you need to know to stick with your teammates at all time to get good use out of her. She’s not the dominant force she used to be, but by no means is she a terrible pick.
