And while you can indeed find weaponry or armor, Master Daidara of Daidara Metalworks will make you new items for a different price – the items dropped by enemies after battles.

Beginning on 4/17, when the team decides they’ll need better weaponry if they intend to go through the Midnight Channel, you can visit Master Daidara at his shop in the South Shopping District.
Not only will he exchange battle loot for yen, but he’s also a capable craftsman, willing to forge armor, weapons, and accessories from them if you’d prefer.
He does charge in yen for each piece you commission, but his gear is some of the best in the game, so it’s typically well worth the price.
Speaking to Master Daidara at his shop will coax him into telling you what he needs for a piece of equipment, but you’ll need to talk to him a time of two first.
He’ll spend the first two chats commenting on the game’s story, depending on when you speak with him and what’s happening in the game then.
