The Story

Junta Shiraishi is just another freshman in his high school. Nobody notices him in class and nobody will go out of their way to talk to him. It’s not that they hate him or want to bully him. Junta is just barely noticeable to them. However, Junta doesn’t really have a problem with that. As mentioned before, the main characters in this series are the timid and introverted boy named Junta Shiraishi, and the beautiful and mischievous Nagisa Kubo. Junta Shiraishi will be voiced by Kengo Kawanishi, the voice actor that has brought to life iconic characters such as Rei Kiriyama from March Comes In Like A Lion and Mikazuki August from Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphan.

Meanwhile, Kubo Nagisa is voiced by Kana Hanazawa, a voice actress that has lent her voice to beloved characters such as Kosaki Onodera from Nisekoi and Shiemi Moriyama from Blue Exorcist. Other notable characters in this series include Nagisa’s older sister Akina Kubo, Junta’s mother Yoshie Shiraishi, and their classmates Kudo Hazuki and Taira Tamao.

Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible is produced by an animation studio called Pine Jam, the studio behind quirky anime like Gleipner and Do It Yourself!. The director for this series is Kazuomi Koga. He has worked as Unit Director and Episode Director for a bunch of anime before, such as Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World and Golden Kamuy.

Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible will be released on January 10. Viewers outside of Asia can watch this series on HIDIVE.
